Celebrating the life of
Brooke Nichole Hurless
September 24, 1982 - October 01, 2026
Brooke Nichole Hurless, 44, of Brunswick, Georgia, formerly of Savannah, Georgia, passed away on Thursday, October 1, 2026.
Born on September 24, 1982, in Bellefontaine, Ohio, Brooke was the beloved daughter of Debbie Tabor (Timothy) and Earl "Butch" Hurless. She was a devoted mother, cherished daughter, loving sister, aunt, niece, and friend whose beautiful spirit touched countless lives while at St. Vincents Acasdemy where she graduated and throughout her life.
Above all else, Brooke's greatest love was her daughters, Layla Tabor and Ava Tabor, both of Savannah. They were her world, and she was fiercely proud of them. The love she shared with her girls was immeasurable, and her legacy will live on through them every day.
Brooke was a protector by nature. She stood up for the people she loved, offered comfort when it was needed most, and never hesitated to put others before herself. Her family and friends knew they could always count on her, whether for encouragement, a listening ear, or a shoulder to lean on. She loved deeply and loyally, and those fortunate enough to be loved by Brooke knew they had someone in their corner no matter what. She had a special love for animals and a compassionate heart that extended to everyone she met. Brooke enjoyed listening to Dave Matthews Band, Fleetwood Mac, and Prince, and music was often the soundtrack to her life. She loved getting dressed up, doing her makeup, polishing her nails, and styling hair. She had a knack for making herself and others feel beautiful and carried herself with confidence, style, and grace.
One of the many things her family and friends will always remember is the way she lovingly called everyone "Boo." It was a simple term of endearment, but it perfectly reflected Brooke's warm and affectionate nature. To be called "Boo" by Brooke was to know you were cared for and loved.
In addition to her parents, Brooke is survived by her daughters, Layla Tabor and Ava Tabor of Savannah; sister, Bianca Livingston of Savannah; brother, Branden Lewis of Beaufort, South Carolina; sisters, Hayden Upton (John) of Savannah and Shayne Cordle (Kylie) of Virginia Beach, Virginia; aunts, Jody Hurless and Christine Hurless; three nephews, Asher, Caden, and Ronin; several cousins and many friends who will forever cherish her memory.
She was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Rita Yeager and Rodney Legro; paternal grandparents, Pauline and Wendell Hurless; and maternal aunt and uncle, Lori and Keith Mongold.
Though our hearts are broken by her passing, we take comfort in the memories she leaves behind: her laughter, her strength, her love for her daughters, her passion for music, her compassion for animals, and the way she made everyone feel special. Brooke's love will remain in the hearts of all who knew her, and her memory will continue to shine through the lives she touched.
She will be deeply missed, forever loved, and never forgotten.
"If love alone could have saved you, you would have lived forever."
